Croatia's postal market continued to shift towards parcel deliveries in the second quarter of 2026, driven by e-commerce, with total revenue rising 16.1% year-on-year to a record €115mn, the Croatian Regulatory Agency for Network Industries (HAKOM) said.

A total of 65.5mn postal services were provided during the quarter, up 7% from a year earlier, while parcel volumes rose 13% to 18.4mn. Parcels generated about 59% of total market revenue.

Traditional letter services continued to decline, with 37mn items handled, down 9% year-on-year, although letters remained the largest category by volume. International postal traffic increased 10% to 5.6mn services.

The market had 24 active providers at the end of the quarter after Tisak plus ceased operations.

Croatian Post remained dominant, accounting for 79.6% of services, although this was its lowest share in recent quarters. Its share of total market revenue stood at 54.3%.

HAKOM said the figures showed continued growth in the parcel and stationery segments alongside a decline in traditional mail.

The number of services also expanded, with the agency pointing to the growing contribution of parcel deliveries to the market's overall performance.
