VIDEO: Israel and Iran significantly struck by direct missile strikes

Alerts sounded across central Israel as Iran fired a barrage of ballistic missiles following the IDF's announcement that it struck a senior Iranian commander in Tehran.
While hostilities with Hezbollah have escalated, it was a relatively quiet day for Israel on the Iran front, with ten hours passing without any Iranian missiles being fired at Israel, Channel 12 noted.
The first volley caused damage to a residential building in Petah Tikva in central Israel from falling shrapnel, though no casualties were reported. Earlier, alarms sounded in Eilat due to fears of a hostile aircraft intrusion, later confirmed as a false alarm.
There was also a direct hit in Bnei Brak, where a car was set alight from rocket fire, and an apartment was significantly damaged.
The Iranian response comes as Israel prosecutes a multi-front campaign. The IDF is advancing its ground operation in southern Lebanon, seizing additional controlled territories to prevent firing on Israeli border communities. A rocket launched from Lebanon struck a residential home in Kfar Yuval in the Galilee, injuring four residents.
IDF Spokesperson Efi Defrin confirmed that the Israeli Air Force had attacked the Iranian leadership compound in Tehran, described as the most important and central headquarters of the ayatollahs' regime.
