Taiwan's Hon Hai posts record monthly sales above TWD1 trillion

Taiwanese electronics manufacturer Hon Hai Precision Industry Co. (TWSE: 2317) posted monthly sales above TWD1 trillion ($31.5bn) for the first time in September, driven by its cloud and networking business, Focus Taiwan reported on October 5. The company, known internationally as Foxconn, recorded consolidated sales of TWD1.15 trillion for the month, up 38.42% year on year and 25.70% from August.
The figures show how far the world's largest contract electronics maker has moved beyond its origins as an iPhone assembler. Demand for artificial intelligence servers is now the main driver of its growth. Hon Hai holds more than 40% of the global AI server market, according to Focus Taiwan.
September's total far exceeded the previous record of TWD837.1bn, set in September 2025, the company said in a statement.
Compared with a year earlier, revenue from cloud and networking products, electronic components and computing products rose sharply. Sales at the smart consumer electronics division were little changed, as higher product prices weighed on shipments.
On a monthly basis, the smart consumer electronics unit posted a strong rise in revenue as international brands launched new products in September. Analysts cited by the Central News Agency named Hon Hai as one of the biggest beneficiaries of the iPhone 18 series, which Apple Inc. unveiled last month.
Third-quarter consolidated sales reached a quarterly record of TWD3.03 trillion, up 47.12% year on year and 20.44% quarter on quarter. Hon Hai said all four of its main business divisions grew strongly during the period.
Sales for the first nine months of the year totalled TWD7.67 trillion, a rise of 39.53% on the same period of 2025.
The company said the AI boom and the usual peak season in the global information and communications technology industry should support its fourth-quarter results. It also told investors to monitor fast-changing political and economic conditions that could affect demand.
At an investor conference in mid-August, Hon Hai's rotating chief executive officer, Michael Chiang, said AI rack shipments in 2026 were expected to more than double from 2025 levels.
