Kuwaiti Weyay Bank launches Jeel Dasman card to promote financial literacy
Kuwait’s first digital bank, Weyay Bank, has launched the Jeel Dasman card as part of a partnership with Dasman Bilingual School aimed at developing students' financial skills and nurturing their talents under the supervision of the school's art teachers.
The bank organised a competition for students to design the card, giving them the opportunity to express their individuality and showcase their creativity through the card design whilst equipping them with knowledge to manage money responsibly.
The competition resulted in the selection of a design created by a Dasman student that will be exclusively available for the school's students for a limited time.
Parents can contact Weyay Bank's Solutions Centre to open a Weyay account for the parent and a Jeel card for the student within minutes through the Weyay app. The exclusive card will be delivered and can be used at all stores inside and outside Kuwait.
The launch of the Jeel Dasman card aligns with Weyay Bank's vision to promote financial literacy among younger generations through Jeel, offering digital tools that empower informed financial decisions from an early age.
Designed for ages eight to 14, the Jeel card fosters independence and financial awareness, complemented by the Jeel app, which provides a simplified banking experience tailored for young users.
