Iran's Central Bank reports record $330mn currency supply at exchange centre
Foreign currency supply from non-oil exports at Iran's Exchange Centre reached $330mn, the Central Bank of Iran reported following the 11th meeting of the Food Security and Public Welfare Working Group on January 19, Tasnim News Agency reported.
The meeting was chaired by Hemmati, Central Bank governor, with participation from ministers of industry, mine and trade, roads and urban development, agriculture, labour, cooperatives and social welfare, and the government spokesman.
The working group discussed currency barter mechanisms for importers of essential goods, solutions to expedite the clearance of basic commodities from ports, and distribution and supply continuity for raw materials and essential agricultural goods.
Participants also examined solutions for providing working capital to production units and transport sector facilities. The meeting stressed monitoring and oversight of working group decisions.
