IDF conducts largest strikes in Lebanon since start of war

Israel Defense Forces confirmed it had conducted its broadest attack against Hezbollah in Lebanon since the start of the ongoing war.
The strikes targeted over 100 command centres and military sites across multiple locations simultaneously on April 8.
This comes despite the US-Iran ceasefire taking effect, with fighting between Israel and Hezbollah persisting.
Hezbollah condemned the Israeli strikes, and the Lebanese government indicated it has not yet been included in any ceasefire agreement, leaving the northern front outside diplomatic arrangements that have reduced tensions elsewhere in the region.
"Within 10 minutes and across multiple areas simultaneously: The IDF completed the largest coordinated strike targeting more than 100 Hezbollah command centres and military sites," the military announced.
"This is the largest strike carried out against Hezbollah infrastructure since the start of Operation Roaring Lion."
The strikes targeted Hezbollah headquarters, military arrays, and command-and-control centres across Beirut, Beqaa, and southern Lebanon. Specific targets included intelligence command centres used for directing attacks against IDF soldiers and Israeli civilians, the infrastructure of Hezbollah's firepower and naval arrays responsible for launching missiles, and assets of the Radwan Force and Aerial (127) unit, Hezbollah's elite units.
"Most of the infrastructure that was struck was located within the heart of the civilian population, as part of Hezbollah's cynical exploitation of Lebanese civilians as human shields," the IDF stated, adding that steps were taken to mitigate harm to uninvolved individuals.
A senior Hezbollah official told that "the resistance will not accept the continuation of Israeli attacks as they were before this battle. We are awaiting the results of the ongoing contacts and will act accordingly."
