Estonia’s Schbot Robotics, a producer of autonomous home-cleaning robots, began exporting its products to the United States, the Estonian Business and Innovation Agency said on its website

Estonia’s reputation as a technology hub is increasingly being built not only on software, but also on advanced hardware and engineering.

According to the company’s chief executive, Maarius Tiits, the first devices have already been shipped to New York, marking a milestone in Schbot’s international expansion.

Founded in 2020, Schbot develops intelligent domestic robots designed to automate routine cleaning tasks. Its product range includes autonomous vacuum and mop combinations for floor care, as well as window-cleaning robots that attach directly to glass surfaces, targeting apartments and houses with large or difficult-to-access windows.

The company positions its devices as app-controlled, low-maintenance solutions intended to operate independently once set up, reflecting a broader push towards hands-off smart-home technology.

Schbot already sells across several European Union markets and, according to publicly available data, generated close to €2mn in revenue in 2024. The firm says it was established by a team with prior experience in professional cleaning equipment, with a focus on adapting industrial-grade performance to individual households.

Schbot joins a growing list of Estonian manufacturers testing their competitiveness in one of the world’s most demanding consumer markets.
